The gravimetric controller and operation interface allow for individual unit and recipe control. Each feeder has its own control board. Connection between control boards and operation interface is supported by industrial protocol.

Single Screw Loss-in-Weight Feeders

The K-Tron Colormax single screw loss-in-weight feeder is designed to provide high-accuracy, high value gravimetric feeding for a variety of materials including pellets, granules, free flowing powders and other bulk materials. Feed rates are possible from 4-700 L/hr, with accuracy up to ±0.5%.

Single screw feeders are available with a wide range of interchangeable feed screws depending on the material being fed. The feeder is mounted on the K-Tron Colormax C2 scale, which uses a high speed and highly accurate load cell. The scale material is stainless steel and the scale housing is completely enclosed. All material contact parts are stainless steel. The feeder is easily disassembled for cleaning or change-over. The special design of the feeding bowl is unique and patented.

Optimum feed screws are determined based on material characteristics of the bulk solid to be fed. Following are estimated feed rates for free flowing materials. For feed rates at either end of the range, feeder testing is recommended.

Twin Screw Loss-in-Weight Feeders

The K-Tron Colormax twin screw loss-in-weight feeder is designed to provide high-accuracy, high value gravimetric feeding for a wide variety of materials including hard to handle bulk solids such as poor flowing powders, fibers and fakes. Feed rates range from 20-6,000 L/hr., depending on feeder capacity and material characteristics, and feed accuracy can reach ±0.5%.

Twin screw feeders are available with a wide range of interchangeable feed screws depending on the material being fed. The feeder is mounted on the K-Tron Colormax C2 scale, which uses a high speed and highly accurate load cell. The scale material is stainless steel and the scale housing is completely enclosed.
